Recent Changes

During 2006:

The Apartment had another successful year with numerous visitors mainly from Europe, but also from the Americas.

There was a change in management, with Steve Roberts and Shelley Cunningham taking over from Andrew and Helen. Many thanks to the departing pair who operated smoothly for several years but have gradually developed too many other commitments.

In April, an exterior TV aerial was connected to the Bedroom North TV and a Top-up box added to this facility and in October this Bedroom was recarpetted and repainted.

The main bathroom was also repainted at this time.

TWERA also achieved an upgraded Green Tourist Award - a thank you mainly to all of you considerate and environmentally aware guests.

Accommodation includes; kitchen, dining/lounge, cable TV, internet computer link, phone, two bedroom, two bathroom, central location and lift. The two bedroom are catering for individually tastes, each with own TV and phone. The kitchen and bathroom are newly completed and the dining/lounge newly decorated. The internet computer access is by either phone line in the bedroom or by the cable TV company. Kitchen and bathroom supplies are provided.

For 2007

The primary news for 2007 is that costs are held unchanged. This is possible as we have been able to focus our advertising and marketing and saved the substantial sums in attempting to reach new areas.

 

We have an ongoing policy of constantly upgrading all services and facilities:

March 07 - New full height heavy duty curtains and new (full moon) ceiling light added to Bedroom North.

June 07 - New Birch Frame double bed and dressing table with matching lockers and tables to replace existing in Bedroom North - apologies for photos on site (to be renewed at first opportunity)

For 2008

Sept 07 - New PC (iMac with XP software) internet linkage and TV tuner.

Oct 07 - New Bedroom furniture for bedroom South; dressing table, bedside tables and shelving. New central (full moon) globe light.

Nov 07 - New twin seater sofa and twin seater sofa bed to Lounge.

Dec 07 - New Dining table and chairs with matching Bakers stand to Lounge.

The two bedroom are catering for individually tastes, each with own TV and phone. The kitchen and bathroom are newly completed and the dining/lounge newly decorated. For 2009

The main impetus this year was to complete the refurbishment of the second bathroom. This was achieved in September.

Repainting of the Hall, Main Bathroom and Second Bathrooms was also completed at this time.
